Examining 1089 Patients in Tanta Universityís Medical Convoy in Zefta

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, “Our medical convoys go to the neediest villages in Gharbia to serve patients.”  

   As part of the presidential initiative Decent Life, Tanta University organized a medical convoy to Kafr Shobra Kalog in Zefta district located in Gharbia governorate to examine needy patients, to give them medicaments for free, and to transfer serious cases to University Hospitals.  

   University President, Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, pointed out that the convoy is organized in the light of the pioneering role played by the university in community service; the convoys go the neediest villages to serve families benefiting from the efficient medical cadres in various specialties.  

   Moreover, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, declared that 1089 patients in the village were examined; 42 cases were transferred to University Hospitals to continue their treatment in specializations of cardiothoracic surgery, internal medicine, general surgery, ophthalmology, and orthopedic surgery.  

   It is worth noting that the convoy was held with participation of Prof. Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Sahar Al-Haggar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Mohammed Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects; and Mr. Maher Saad, General Manager of Community Service.
