Tanta University chorus gained the first rank in the 2nd Musical Festival of Students of Egyptian Universities and Higher Institutes held at Leaders’ Preparation Institute in Helwan. Maestro\ Mahmoud Safwat was chosen as the Best Conductor of Orchestra in the closing ceremony. Student\ Ahmed Salah won the Top Solo Singer Award and student\ Ahmed Nafada who is a Qanun player gained the Top Music Soloist Award.

   Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, congratulated members of the winner university chorus. He commended their performance during the competition affirming that the university is keen on supporting all student activities as they have a great role in forming students’ personality and development of the their artistic skills and innovation.
