The Grand Mufti Participates in the Ceremony of Laying the Cornerstone of 900 900 Hospital

Prof. Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt and Head of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities in the World, declared that the Islamic Shariaa aims to achieve common good; it keeps five matters: religion, soul, mind, children, and money. He indicated that everything that keeps those matters is good and that everything that harms these matters is evil.

The Grand Mufti added that a righteous person should have mercy to Allah’s slaves and should try to help the needy. He cited the hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him, “The merciful are shown mercy by Al-Rahman. Be merciful to those on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from Who is above the heavens.” He pointed out that mercy in Islam is public and comprehensive encompassing the entire universe including Muslims and non-Muslims. It also includes animals and plants. This comprehensiveness is obvious in all aspects of Shariaa such as zakat, endowment, charity, and other donations.

Prof. Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, stated that 900 900 Hospital copes with the goals of Shariaa to achieve good and to protect people from evil. He said that Egypt had a great breakthrough in all areas such as the medical one. In addition, he thanked personnel of the hospital.
