"Go Green" & "We Will Live it Right" Initiatives Are the Most Prominent Events of Tanta University 4th International Environmental Forum next Tuesday

      Prof. Magdi Sab', Tanta University President, announced launching the events of Tanta University 4th International Environmental Forum next Tuesday in Alexandria under the title, "Green Environment and Sustainable Development". He added that "Go Green" & "We Will Live it Right" initiatives are the most prominent events of the forum as the University believes in the importance of the concerted efforts with the Egyptian government to transform towards green economy, change social behaviors, encourage citizens to participate in keeping the environment and natural resources in order to ensure its sustainability for the coming generations, in addition to highlighting the role of youth in keeping the environment and natural resources and involve them in the environmental activity.  

    Prof. Magdi Sab' added that the initiative, "We Will Live it Right", that he was selected as an honorary president at the level of the Republic, aims at disseminating positive spirit among students, enhancement of belonging and citizenship values, and encouraging youth to change their lifestyle into a health one in regard of non-communicable diseases.  

    For his part, Prof. 'Emad 'Etman, Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Chairman of the Forum, pointed out that the forum seeks to encourage modern awareness initiatives to rationalize consumption and follow environmental behaviors. He also added that it is a shared responsibility between the citizen and the Republic; hence, no initiatives or campaigns can succeed without participation of civil society andNGOs in spreading environmental awareness among all components of the society.    

   It is worth noting that the forum is going to discuss over 250 researches, 8 major lectures in addition to several workshops in attempt of finding final solutions for different environmental problems.
