Scientific Competition for Master’s and PhD Students at Tanta University, and Honoring 41 Students as Part of the Initiative of Excellent Students’ Incubators

   Tanta University organized a ceremony for honoring superior students both in undergraduate and postgraduate stages under patronage of Prof. Nivine Kabbag, Minister of Social Solidarity; Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President; and Prof. Kamal Okasha, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Salah Hashem, Social Policy Consultant at Ministry of Social Solidarity; Ms. Amany Al-Nadry, Undersecretary of Ministry of Social Solidarity in Gharbia Governorate; and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Azim, Manager of Nasser Social Bank in Tanta. 

    Prof. Kamal Okasha declared that the university organized a scientific competition for master’s and PhD students in the framework of the cooperation protocol signed by Tanta University and Ministry of Social Solidarity and out of keenness of the university on development of scientific research and supporting researchers. In addition, he wished the students more success. 

   Moreover, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research pointed out that the university is eager to cooperate with all service authorities to take part in serving community. He affirmed that youth’s ideas and energy must be utilized to realize the Egyptian strategy of sustainable development and Egypt’s vision of 2030.  

    Furthermore, Prof. Salah Hashem thanked President\ Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for his support of excellent students at Egyptian universities. He commended the constructive collaboration with Tanta University through establishment of units affiliated to Ministry of Social Solidarity at Tanta University to help with offering quality services to all Tanta University personnel. 

   He added that the Ministry is to organize the first permanent exhibition for students in cooperation with Tanta University so that they can sell their products and to provide them with goods at reasonable prices; also, workshops will be held to train students and to qualify them for labor market. 

    In addition, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affair, asserted that there are a lot of superior and excellent students in all specializations at Egyptian universities. He added that knowledge and work are important to cope with modern scientific advancement. He pointed out that Tanta University under leadership of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki supports alumni to be able to enter the Egyptian labor market. 

    Forty-one students in both undergraduate and postgraduate stages were honored in attendance of Prof. Fotoh Rashed, Coordinator of the Initiative of Excellent Students’ Incubators at Tanta University; Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Institutional Performance at Tanta University; Prof. Rania Al-Kilany, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Public Social Services; and Accountant\ Ahmed Rashad, Secretary-General of Tanta University.
