Celebrating Tanta University’s Golden Jubilee, the 16th Scout Festival of the University is Inaugurated
Under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated today the 16th Scout Festival of Tanta University coinciding with the university’s golden jubilee.
In the speech he delivered, Prof. Hussein affirmed that the university under leadership of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki is keen on sharpening of students’ skills and benefiting from their capabilities in various fields. Therefore, student activities are supported as they help in forming students’ personality.
Moreover, Dr. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities, pointed out that the festival is organized by the General Administration of Youth Welfare in cooperation with Student Union of the university. The festival includes many competitions held from current March 13th to 20th at the university’s campus under supervision of Mr. Mohammed Al-Kasir, General Manager of the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
It is worth noting that the inauguration was attended by deans and vice deans of faculties, many academic staff members and students.
