In African Universities’ Youth Week at Aswan University, Tanta University Students Win Excellence Cup of Activities

A Gold Medal in Information Tournament, a Silver One in Chess and Excellence Cup in Poetry, Singing and Table Tennis 

   Tanta University won Excellence Cup in activities and Participation Shield in the 1st African Universities’ Youth Week that was organized by Aswan University from October 19th to 25th with 21 African universities and 26 Egyptian universities taking part.     Furthermore, the University gained the first rank and the gold medal in Information Tournament. It was gained by Islam Mustafa Al-Noweihy from Faculty of Engineering. In addition, the University got the second rank and the silver medal in Chess that was gained by Mark Hany Samir from Faculty of Engineering.

   In addition, the University got the fourth rank in the five-kilo Marathon Competition in suburbs with participation of 50 students from different African and Egyptian universities. This rank was gained by Mo'men Emad Al-Din Abdullah from Faculty of Physical Education.     

   The University had the fourth rank in Social Initiative Competition in which 18 universities participated. This rank was won by Ahmed Khaled Hegazy from Faculty of Medicine. Mahmoud Mohammed Said Abo Al-Azm from Faculty of Arts gained the fifth rank in Solo Singing Competition for man students while Wesam Mohammed Abdel Rahman from Faculty of Arts won the seventh rank in Solo Singing Competition for girl students.

    Moreover, the University got the fifth rank in Beach Football Competition where the University was represented by Kamel Sobhy Al-Masry from Faculty of Physical Education and Ahmed Mohammed Gom'a in fourth year at Faculty of Physical Education. The seventh rank in Colloquial Poetry Competition was gained by Ibrahim Soliman Al-Sayed Soliman Al-Meligy from Faculty of Arts. The eighth rank in Table Tennis was won by Omar Mohammed Abo Zayed from Faculty of Physical Education.

    The delegation of Tanta University included 13 students and 3 supervisors who are Mohammed Al-Nahhal, Manager of Social Activity and Trips Department at the University, as General Supervisor of the delegation, Ibrahim Kamel and Marian Barsoom.
