During the 13th Season of the "Ibda’a" Festival and Under the Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic: "Tanta University Students" Win 7 Top Positions in Artistic and Cultural Fields


Tanta University students achieved remarkable success by securing 7 top positions in the 13th season of the "Ibda’a" Festival. The university's theatre team won first place for their performance of "You Are the Sky, and I Am the Earth", written by Shady El-Saeed and directed by El-Saeed Mansi, in the theatrical performance category. Marina Amir Samir received the award for Best Supporting Actress in the same category.


In the field of reporting, Alaa Yasser Ezzat claimed second place. The university’s folk arts team secured third place in the folk arts category. Andrew Nabil Shafik won Best Costume Design in the specialized folk arts field, while Malak Amr Ibrahim received the Jury Award for Best Movement Performer in the same category. Omar Mahmoud El-Badry was awarded Best Choreographer in specialized folk arts.


These achievements were announced during the closing ceremony of the "Ibda’a 13" Festival, held at the Grand Celebration Hall at Cairo University, under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The event was attended by Prof. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Prof. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo; Engineer Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza; and Prof. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadeq, President of Cairo University. Representing Tanta University were Prof. Magdy Wakouk, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Mohamed El-Kassir, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein congratulated the winning students on this distinguished achievement, affirming that their excellence is clear evidence of the exceptional talents and capabilities they possess, as well as the effort and perseverance they have shown to reach this honorable level. He emphasized that Tanta University is not only a prominent academic institution but also a nurturing environment for creativity and excellence across various fields.


He expressed his pride in the students who raised the name of their university high and proved they are capable of competing and excelling in all forums. He extended his appreciation to the General Administration for Student Welfare for their continued support and guidance, and reaffirmed the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting and encouraging student activities that contribute to shaping students' personalities, enhancing their skills and abilities, and preparing them to be the leaders of the future.
