As part of its ongoing visit to Spain, the Tanta University delegation, headed by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, and Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, held a significant meeting today with a group of Tanta University postgraduate students currently studying at the University of Cantabria under the Erasmus+ Scholarship Program.
The meeting aimed to provide academic and moral support, listen to the students’ experiences, and ensure their continued success abroad. Prof. Hussein emphasized the university's strong commitment to following up on the progress and well-being of its students studying internationally. He praised their outstanding academic performance and dedication, which reflect the high caliber of students at Tanta University.
In addition to the student meeting, the delegation met with Prof. María Margallo, Vice President of the University of Cantabria for Campus and Sustainability Affairs. The two sides discussed expanding collaboration in areas of sustainability, green campus development, and environmental initiatives, aligning with global and institutional goals for sustainable development.
Later, a strategic meeting was held at the Office of International Relations, focusing on future avenues of academic exchange, joint programs, and enhanced student mobility between the two institutions. The discussion highlighted the mutual commitment to deepening cooperation and creating meaningful academic opportunities for students and faculty alike.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein concluded by affirming that such visits are a vital part of Tanta University’s internationalization strategy, contributing to global engagement, student empowerment, and academic excellence in line with Egypt’s national vision for higher education.
