Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, attended today the closing ceremony of the training and hosting program for a student delegation from the University of Bradford, UK, which was held over a period of four weeks. The delegation included 55 students from various disciplines, and the program took place within the framework of the protocol signed between the Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University and the University of Bradford.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Emad Atman, former Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development and General Supervisor of the Training Program, Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Rania Elimam, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, along with a group of faculty members and teaching assistants from the Faculty of Engineering.
In his speech, Prof. Hussein expressed his delight at the success of the program, emphasizing that international cooperation and exchange of expertise are core elements of Tanta University's strategy, aligned with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. He welcomed the distinguished delegation from the University of Bradford, noting that such programs strengthen academic and cultural ties between universities and open new horizons for research, scientific, cultural, and training cooperation.
Prof. Hussein noted that the program provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore different educational systems, exchange knowledge and skills, and engage with Egyptian culture. He commended the exceptional efforts of the team led by Prof. Emad Atman, whose professional and meticulous planning contributed to creating a rich and rewarding experience for the Bradford students.
He added that the success of the program reflects the spirit of collaboration across various university departments and confirms Tanta University's capability to host and organize international events at a high standard. This reinforces the university’s international reputation and leadership in academic and cultural exchange.
Prof. Hussein concluded by reiterating the university's commitment to expanding its global partnerships with prestigious institutions worldwide to enhance the quality of education and research. He wished the Bradford students a safe return home and expressed his eagerness for further fruitful cooperation in the future.
For his part, Prof. Emad Atman expressed his great satisfaction with the program’s success, stating that the primary goal was to provide a rich educational and cultural experience for Bradford students, allowing them to exchange experiences and knowledge with their Egyptian peers and immerse themselves in authentic Egyptian culture. He emphasized that the team worked diligently to provide all necessary logistical and academic support to ensure the students' comfort and optimal benefit.
Prof. Atman praised the enthusiasm and eagerness of the 55 students to learn and engage, extending his heartfelt thanks to Prof. Mohamed Hussein for his continuous support and trust, and to all faculty and staff of the Faculty of Engineering for their valuable contributions.
At the end of the ceremony, completion certificates were awarded to all 55 students from the University of Bradford.
