Continuous Accreditation of the Comprehensive Clinic Laboratories at Tanta University Hospitals by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC)

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced the continued accreditation of the Comprehensive Clinic Laboratory at Tanta University Hospitals in the fields of Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, and Hematology by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC). This accreditation includes the transition to the new version of the international standard ISO 15189:2022 in certain tests within the Clinical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, and Hematology laboratories.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein congratulated the Faculty of Medicine, the University Hospital Administration, and all laboratory staff on this achievement, emphasizing that this success reflects the dedicated and sincere efforts made by the working teams in the laboratories of the Comprehensive Clinic at Tanta University Hospital. He highlighted their commitment to applying the highest global quality standards in laboratory testing, adding that this major accomplishment reaffirms Tanta University’s commitment to providing the best medical services to the community and enhances the university’s standing as a leading educational and research institution. He called on all staff to continue their hard work to maintain this distinguished level of performance and to further develop the services offered to meet patients’ needs.


For his part, Prof. Ahmed Ghoniem, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, extended his thanks to Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, for his continued support of the Faculty of Medicine and the university hospitals. He expressed his great happiness and pride in the continued accreditation of the Comprehensive Clinic Laboratories by EGAC and the successful transition to the new ISO 15189:2022 international standard. He affirmed that this achievement is the result of diligent and tireless work, and a firm commitment to global quality standards by all laboratory teams. He also extended his thanks to Prof. Sahar Hezaa, Head of the Clinical Pathology Department.
