In the Presence of Senior Military and Executive Leaders and Hosted by Tanta University: Prof. Mohamed Hussein Participates in Ceremony Granting Military Service Exemption Certificates to Persons with Disabilities and Old People

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, participated in the celebration “Himam Touching the Sky”, hosted by the university to present military service exemption certificates to a number of persons with disabilities and old people. The event was attended by Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, Major General Ahmed Mostafa Sadeq, Director of the Armed Forces Recruitment and Mobilization Department, Prof. Mahmoud Issa, Deputy Governor, Major General Ahmed Anwar, Secretary-General of the Governorate, Colonel Mohamed Fawzy, Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Zone in Tanta, and Colonel Wael Fathy, Military Advisor to the Governorate, alongside a host of senior military and executive leaders.


In his remarks, Governor Ashraf El-Gendy expressed deep appreciation for the Egyptian Armed Forces and their national and humanitarian efforts. He emphasized that the facilitations granted in resolving the military status of persons with disabilities and old people reflect the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who places the Egyptian citizen at the heart of state policies, aiming to alleviate hardships and uphold dignity. The Governor added that the Armed Forces set a unique example of humanity through the procedures and facilities they provide, reflecting the civilized image of Egypt, stressing that Gharbia Governorate will continue to provide full support and care for this cherished group, which represents an integral part of the nation’s fabric.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that today’s honoring of persons with disabilities is clear evidence of the Egyptian state’s and its wise leadership’s — led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi — strong commitment to caring for this valued segment of society and ensuring their full integration within the social fabric. He highlighted that Tanta University, as a national academic institution, firmly believes that persons with disabilities are an indispensable part of the country’s real strength and an inexhaustible reservoir of creativity and contribution. He praised their unyielding determination and resilience in transforming challenges into opportunities.


The University President further stressed that Tanta University prioritizes the empowerment of persons with disabilities, working diligently to provide an inclusive educational and service environment tailored to their needs, enabling them to reach their full potential. He explained that the university has launched numerous initiatives and programs to support them academically, socially, and psychologically, as well as prepare them for the labor market — a reflection of the conviction that they are genuine partners in building the nation’s future. He extended heartfelt gratitude to the Egyptian Armed Forces for their cooperation and constant consideration of the health circumstances of citizens, noting that this institutional synergy embodies the true spirit of Egypt, which never forgets its children nor compromises their rights. He also offered a special tribute to the families of persons with disabilities for their patience, faith, and unwavering support.


Meanwhile, Major General Ahmed Mostafa Sadeq, Director of the Armed Forces Recruitment and Mobilization Department, affirmed that the facilitations provided in resolving the military status of persons with disabilities and old people represent the direct implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He stressed that the Armed Forces General Command has given this issue top priority and directed the mobilization of all resources to ease procedures for citizens. He noted that recruitment and mobilization units deployed medical and recruitment committees to the governorates, allocated centers close to citizens’ residences, and even reached the homes of those unable to move, under a precise and disciplined plan that balances military rigor with a humanitarian approach. He concluded that these efforts underscore the Armed Forces’ commitment to protecting the dignity of Egyptian citizens, easing their burdens, and reaffirming that serving the people of Egypt is a sacred responsibility carried out with loyalty and dedication.
