Professor Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, concluded the training course “Preparing Administrative Leaders” with a presentation entitled “Enhancing the Performance of Tanta University’s Administrative Apparatus in Light of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the Objectives of the Egypt Government Excellence Award.” This course is part of the university’s strategic vision to develop its administrative system, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment to qualifying human resources, regarded as the primary drivers of the success in both academic and research frameworks, and ensuring the provision of distinguished university services befitting the stature of Tanta University.
Dr. Mohamed Hussein commenced his presentation by highlighting that administrative performance in Egyptian public universities has undergone a profound transformation, driven by the objectives of "Egypt Vision 2030." This change reflects the insightful leadership of the political authorities in advancing higher education and scientific research systems to meet developmental needs at both local and national levels. The universities have successfully replaced traditional systems with integrated digital frameworks that reinforce the values of transparency and efficiency.
The University President added that this development was not limited solely to the automation of student and financial services, but also extended to the governance of organizational structures and the implementation of government excellence standards, thereby contributing to the reduction of bureaucracy and the acceleration of data-driven decision-making. He pointed out that investing in the development of human capital and training administrative staff in digital tools constituted the cornerstone for ensuring the sustainability of this development, in line with international standards of educational quality and the New Republic’s vision of building “smart universities” capable of competing globally.
