Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, participated in the Tanta Endowments Directorate's celebration of Laylat al-Qadr at Al-Ahmadi Mosque in Tanta, following the Isha and Taraweeh prayers. The event was attended by Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moaty, Governor of Gharbia, representing His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi; Engineer Hossam El-Din Abdo, Deputy Governor; Brigadier General Ahmed Ezz, representing National Security; Major General Diaa El-Din Abdel-Hamid, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Brigadier General Wael Fathi, Military Advisor; Mr. Khaled El-Arfi, Assistant Secretary-General; Major General Mohamed Anani, Head of the Central Administration for the Governor's Office; Sheikh Ismail Ahmed Ismail, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Gharbia; Sheikh Magdy El-Saeed, Head of the Central Administration for the Gharbia Azhar Region; and a number of executive, religious, and security leaders, as well as members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The celebration began with the performance of the Isha and Taraweeh prayers amidst a large congregation, followed by a blessed recitation of the Quran that created a spiritual atmosphere, deepening devotion and drawing closer to God. The attendees then listened to a speech highlighting the virtues and significance of Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), emphasizing its status as a blessed night in which mercy and forgiveness descend, and good deeds are multiplied. The speaker urged everyone to seize this night through righteous acts, supplication, and seeking forgiveness.
The celebration concluded with prayers and religious chants in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere of tranquility and reverence, as the attendees prayed for peace and prosperity to prevail in Egypt.
