Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University and Head of the Committee for Selecting Deans of Faculties, announced today, Wednesday, that applications are open for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for faculty members currently employed at the college, starting Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and continuing until Monday, March 30, 2026. The University President explained that, according to the nomination timeline, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, has been designated for reviewing applications and announcing the preliminary list. The committee will begin receiving appeals on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and Thursday, April 2, 2026. These appeals will be reviewed, and the final list of candidates will be announced on Sunday, April 5, 2026. The review of applicants' files, personal interviews, and preparation of the final report will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Those wishing to apply must submit six (6) files (one original and six copies), each accompanied by a flash drive. Each application file must contain a complete PDF copy of the original document, including:
1. The application form.
2. An official statement of academic standing from the university.
3. The applicant's curriculum vitae (CV), which is the applicant's responsibility.
4. All supporting documents detailing the applicant's academic and administrative qualifications and activities as outlined in the CV, including positions held, awards received, and research and studies conducted or participated in.
5. The applicant's action plan, outlining areas for improvement, reform methods, and proposals for development and advancement.
The applicant's file must include the criteria stipulated in Ministerial Decree No. (1365) of 2022 and its amendments in Ministerial Decree No. (2468) of 2024, as follows: (Leadership skills – Administrative skills – Mechanisms for implementing the targeted vision for higher education and scientific research in light of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt Vision 2030 – Communication skills – Ability to manage financial assets and human resources – Research skills – General skills – The extent to which the submitted plan aligns with the university's current situation and its feasibility within the specified timeframe).

Applicants must:
• Be a full-time professor at the college at the time of application for deanship.
• Be currently employed at the university at the time of application.
• Not have previously held the position for which they are applying through appointment, except for a maximum of one instance.
• Not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude or dishonesty, unless they have been legally rehabilitated.
• The candidate must not have been subject to any disciplinary penalty unless it has been revoked, expunged, or withdrawn by the competent authority.
• The candidate must not hold any party position at the time of nomination or during their term of office.
Applications will be accepted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the period specified above for opening nominations (from Tuesday, March 24, 2026, to Monday, March 30, 2026). Required documents should be submitted during this period to the committee secretariat in the office of the University President and Committee Chairman, Professor Dr. [Name], who will mark the application file with the date and time of submission.
