The Council of Tanta University, convened under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, during its regular session for April 2026, approved the disbursement of a performance bonus amounting to EGP 3,500 for faculty members, EGP 2,500 for teaching assistants, and EGP 2,500 for university employees, security personnel, secondees, and nursing staff at the university hospitals who are actively on duty. Additionally, a bonus equivalent to 20 days’ wages, with a maximum of EGP 1,500, will be granted to irregular workers employed on a “pay-for-work” basis.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that this decision comes in recognition of the sincere efforts exerted by all university affiliates throughout the academic year, and in appreciation of the vital role they play in advancing the university’s educational, research, and medical systems. He noted that this bonus serves as an incentive for academic, administrative, medical, and security staff, particularly in light of the intensified efforts currently underway to finalize the logistical and organizational preparations necessary to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of final examinations for the second semester. He further emphasized that the university spares no effort in supporting the rights of its faculty members and staff, in a manner that positively reflects on the work environment and the quality of performance.
