Prof. Mohamed Hussein participates in the periodic meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities in the New Administrative Capital

    Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, participated today in the periodic meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, chaired by Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Prof. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Council, and the Council members, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

    According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Higher Education directed universities and institutes to ensure full readiness for the second-semester examinations of the current academic year. He also emphasized strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Health in enhancing population awareness, expanding collaboration between universities and the industrial sector, and reinforcing partnerships between the Egyptian higher education system and internationally reputable universities.

    The Minister further commended the achievement of an unprecedented scientific milestone through the publication of the results of the largest comprehensive genome sequencing study, as well as UNESCO’s announcement regarding the inclusion of several Egyptian heritage sites on the World Heritage List of the Islamic World.

    The Council also reviewed the status of universities’ efforts in presenting a comprehensive plan to develop the performance of faculty training and capacity-building centers.
