Today, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, received Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade Alaa El-Bily, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences; on behalf of Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, as part of the closing activities of the initiative «Egypt Launches for Export» from Tanta University in Gharbia Governorate Which was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and with wide participation from representatives of government agencies, bodies affiliated with the Ministry, and the business, industrial, and trade communities.

    The meeting discussed prospects for future cooperation between the university and the Authority in the field of supporting export capabilities, qualifying human resources and youth for local and international labor markets, and activating the role of academic and research institutions in serving comprehensive economic development plans.

    During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Hussein stressed the university's full keenness to build bridges of effective cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, pointing out that integrating academic efforts with the country's development and economic institutions represents a fundamental pillar for qualifying our students and graduates for the labor market, and supporting the Egyptian state's plans for export expansion and capacity building, in line with the state's plan for sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030.

    Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade Alaa El-Bili expressed his happiness at the conclusion of the activities of the «Egypt Launches for Export» initiative at Tanta University, praising the role of well-established academic institutions in building the capabilities of youth and qualifying human cadres for the labor market, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences to consolidate the bonds of strategic partnership with the university, and integrate scientific research and innovation into the state's plans to support exports and sustainable development in order to achieve Egypt's Vision 2030.

    At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields, confirming the bonds of cooperation and mutual appreciation between Tanta University and the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences.
