The President of Tanta University receives the coordinator of the “Decent Life” Foundation in Gharbia to discuss enhancing cooperation in spreading the culture of volunteering and national awareness

     Professor Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, received in his office today Dr. Zeinab Sami, Coordinator of the “Decent Life” Foundation in Gharbia Governorate, and journalist Nasser Tahoun, Head of the Journalists Syndicate Committee in Gharbia, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the university, the foundation, and the Journalists Syndicate, which contributes to supporting the state's efforts to consolidate the culture of volunteer work, develop national awareness, and highlight the achievements made within the framework of national projects and presidential initiatives.

     During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Hussein stressed that Tanta University believes that its role is not limited to the educational and research process, but extends to include fulfilling its societal and national mission, by preparing generations that possess awareness and responsibility, and are able to participate effectively in sustainable development efforts.

     The university president explained that the university students represent a great national force, and that the university is keen to expand their participation in community initiatives and volunteer activities, most notably the activities provided by the “Decent Life” Foundation, which contributes to refining their personalities and enhancing the values of belonging, giving and teamwork among them, pointing out that the next stage will witness the implementation of a number of joint programs and events that aim to spread the culture of volunteering and maximize community participation among the university's youth.

      For her part, Dr. Zainab Sami expressed her appreciation for the national role played by Tanta University in serving the community, and stressed that such cooperation represents an important pillar for supporting the institution, due to the university's scientific expertise and distinguished human cadres, in addition to the positive energy represented by its students, stressing that the next stage will witness more cooperation in implementing community and volunteer initiatives and Organizing awareness campaigns and field activities that contribute to consolidating the values of participation and social responsibility among young people.

     In the same context, journalist Nasser Tahoun stressed that the national media is an essential partner in the development process, by conveying facts to public opinion, enhancing national awareness, and highlighting the extent of the achievements implemented by the Egyptian state in various sectors, most notably national projects and presidential initiatives that aim to improve the quality of life. Citizens.

     He pointed out the importance of integration between academic and media institutions, in order to prepare youth cadres who possess national awareness and are able to confront rumors with the truth, noting that the coming period will witness fruitful cooperation with Tanta University in organizing seminars, meetings, media and awareness events, which will contribute to spreading the culture of social responsibility, and supporting the state's efforts to build the Egyptian person and enhance belonging.
