Prof. Hatem Amin: We continue to support scientific journals to raise international publishing standards and enhance the competitiveness of scientific research

    Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced the inclusion of the Journal of Engineering Research (Egypt), issued by the Faculty of Engineering at the university, in the global database (Scopus), in a new scientific achievement that reflects the continuous development of the scientific research and academic publishing system at the university, and enhances its presence on the international scientific research map.

    The University President stressed that this achievement represents an important step in the process of improving the scientific journals issued by the University, and embodies the success of its efforts in developing the academic publishing system in accordance with international standards, pointing out that including the journal within «Scopus» contributes to enhancing the spread of the University's research production and making it available to the international scientific community, and opens broader horizons for communication and research cooperation with international academic institutions In line with the university's strategy to support research excellence and improve international ranking indicators.

    Prof. Mohammed Hussein congratulated the College of Engineering, the journal's editorial board, faculty members, and researchers, appreciating the efforts that resulted in this achievement. He emphasized the university's continued support for its scientific journals, providing the necessary resources for their development and enhancing their international competitiveness, based on its belief that the quality of research production and its international reach represent two fundamental pillars for building a pioneering research university.

    For his part, Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Research, stressed that the inclusion of the Engineering Research Journal in the Scopus database reflects the quality of its scientific content and the commitment of its editorial board to international academic publishing and arbitration standards. He praised the integrated efforts made by the Faculty of Engineering administration, the journal's editorial board and researchers to reach this position, explaining that the Postgraduate Studies and Research sector continues to implement plans aimed at developing scientific journals at the university, raising its efficiency and enhancing its indexing opportunities in prestigious international databases, in addition to encouraging distinguished research publication, which supports the academic and research status of Tanta University.

    In the same context, Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, expressed his pride in this achievement, stressing that the inclusion of the Engineering Research Journal in the «Scopus» database represents the culmination of continuous scientific and editorial efforts, and the result of the collective work between the faculty administration, the journal's editorial board, faculty members and researchers, noting that this step represents a new start towards enhancing the international spread of the journal and attracting distinguished scientific research .He stressed the college's keenness to continue developing its research and academic performance, and expanding the horizons of scientific cooperation with international research institutions, in a way that enhances its position as one of the leading institutions in the fields of engineering education and research.
