The Girls’ Futsal Team of Tanta University gained the first rank and the gold medal after beating the team of Zagazig University with a score of 3-0 in the final match held as part of the tournament organized by Egyptian University Sports Federation (EUSF) in cooperation with Tanta University. It was held in Tanta University’s camp in Baltim under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President; Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the university; and Mr. Mohammad Al-Kasir, General Manager of the General Administration of Youth Welfare at the university.

     Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, congratulated members of the winner team and affirmed that the university is keen on supporting student activities as they have a great role in enhancement of students’ innovation and excellence. In addition, he wished university students success and winning more tournaments. He thanked all who participated in training and qualifying the team who won the tournament.

    Moreover, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, commended the performance of the team that kept clean sheets as no other team could score against it throughout the tournament. He asserted that the tournament is a good opportunity for development of students’ sports skills and for enhancement of competition. Tanta University’s team could also keep clean sheets against both Sadat University’s team with a score of 5-0 and South Valley’s team with a score of 6-0.
