Tanta University Launches the 6th Edition of the International Conference on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Developments This Month

Tanta University announces that the Structural Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering is organizing the 6th edition of the International Conference on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Developments under the title:

"Integration of AI-Driven Vision and Innovative Smart Techniques: Pioneering the Future of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering."


Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and Prof. Emad Atman, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and the Conference Chairman, the event will take place from April 14 to 17, 2025, in Hurghada.


Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that this 6th edition of the conference presents a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and innovation, allowing participants to explore the latest advancements and technologies that contribute to improving and developing urban development projects. He affirmed that Tanta University aims to advance scientific research through fostering collaboration, disseminating knowledge, promoting creativity, and keeping pace with modern scientific progress. This aligns with the principles of integration, effective partnerships, sustainability, and training, as outlined in the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, in support of Egypt's Sustainable Development Strategy and Vision 2030.


Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, stressed the importance of international cooperation in scientific research and expressed his hope that the conference will enhance collaboration among researchers and scholars from different countries while fostering innovative solutions to engineering challenges.


Meanwhile, Prof. Emad Atman added that the conference will feature international participation from over 20 countries, with discussions covering 89 research papers in various specialized fields of structural and geotechnical engineering, including soil mechanics, foundation engineering, reinforced concrete structures, material properties and testing, environmental engineering, steel structures, and project management. Additionally, the event will host 10 keynote lectures, providing researchers with access to new findings and future trends in the field of structural and geotechnical engineering, equipping them with the knowledge to keep pace with rapid advancements in this domain.
