The launch of the app contributes to effective communication and integration, in line with the principles of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and enhances the academic community’s experience in digital governance and institutional communication systems.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein Tanta University President announced the launch of the university’s official mobile application, developed by the university’s Electronic Portal Unit in collaboration with students from the Computer and Automatic Control Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering. He explained the app’s operating features and services available for faculty members, administrative staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students. The electronic services include e-payment, course registration, healthcare services, and a variety of administrative and financial functions. He noted that the first version of the app has been published on the Play Store and will soon be available on the App Store, making it accessible across all smartphone and tablet operating systems.

He praised the efforts of the Electronic Portal Unit team and the students from the Computer and Automatic Control Engineering Department for their work on the app, adding that student participation in its development clearly reflects the exceptional capabilities of the university’s students and graduates. It also demonstrates the quality of academic programs and their alignment with the needs of local and global labor markets, contributing to a more interactive and flexible learning environment.
Prof. Nada El-Shenawy, Director of the Electronic Portal Unit, explained that work is currently underway on developing the second version of the app, which will support both Arabic and English languages and cover all main sectors and faculties. The updated version will also allow the app to send notifications to users whenever new announcements, services, or news are published.
