To Discuss International Cooperation in Academic, Research, and Training Fields: President of Tanta University Receives the Cultural Counselor of the Kingdom of Bahrain's Embassy

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, received today Prof. Kholoud Rashid Matar, Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Cairo, along with Mahmoud Aref Mohamed, Academic Advisor at the Cultural Office of the Bahraini Embassy in Cairo. The visit aimed to explore avenues of cooperation in training and postgraduate studies, and to follow up on Bahraini students enrolled in various faculties of the university. The meeting was attended by Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Shahira Sharaf El-Din, Director of the International Students Care Unit, Ameer El-Deeb, Director of the International Cooperation and Communication Office, along with a group of Bahraini international students at the university.


During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed the university’s commitment to providing all forms of academic and social support to international students, and to offering them a stimulating educational and cultural environment. He highlighted the outstanding academic programs offered by the university’s faculties, along with the wide range of services tailored to international students. These include a diverse and enriching academic and cultural atmosphere, psychological support, and professional development and guidance services. He expressed his pleasure in collaborating with the embassy and organizing meetings with Bahraini students to present the university's undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with the aim of increasing international student enrollment. He also emphasized the university’s keen interest in the activities of the Arab Council for Training and Student Creativity affiliated with the Association of Arab Universities.


For her part, Prof. Kholoud Rashid Matar expressed her delight in visiting Tanta University, emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between educational institutions in both brotherly countries. She noted that Tanta University enjoys an excellent academic reputation and offers distinguished programs across various disciplines. She added that the visit is part of the embassy’s efforts to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education and to explore new opportunities for partnership between Tanta University and academic institutions in Bahrain, particularly in the areas of training and postgraduate studies. She also pointed out that there is growing interest among Bahraini students in enrolling in Tanta University’s outstanding programs, and that the embassy is constantly working to facilitate this academic exchange and provide students with opportunities to benefit from the university’s academic and research expertise.


The Bahraini students present expressed their appreciation for the university’s efforts in offering comprehensive services and a supportive learning environment. They praised the high caliber of the faculty and their dedication to providing academic and intellectual support.


The meeting concluded with Prof. Kholoud Rashid Matar presenting the Cultural Office’s shield to Prof. Mohamed Hussein, who, in turn, presented the university’s shield to her.
