Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President , congratulated the students who won awards in the competitions of the first “Tarab” Festival for Music and Singing for university and institute teams across Egypt. The festival, held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed remarkable achievements by Tanta University students, who secured numerous top rankings, reaffirming the university’s leadership in artistic and cultural activities.
In the field of choral singing, Tanta University’s team won joint first place. The title of Best Student Vocalist was awarded to student Mohamed Gamal Gad.
In the instrumental performance category, Esraa Mohamed Abdel-Gawad received the award for Best Instrumentalist.
In solo singing, Rofaida Ibrahim El-Sayed claimed first place, while Ahmed El-Sayed Mohamed secured third place.
In solo instrumental performance, Omar Galal Mogahed won first place.
Prof. Hussein expressed his pride in the outstanding accomplishments of Tanta University students at the “Tarab” Festival, emphasizing that these distinguished results demonstrate that the university is not limited to academic excellence, but also excels in fostering artistic and cultural creativity. He added that such achievements reflect the university’s great commitment to discovering and nurturing artistic talents among its students, while providing all the necessary resources to refine their skills and encourage innovation.
The University President further affirmed that students are the nation’s true wealth, and their creativity represents Egypt’s soft power, expressing identity and heritage. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winning students, praising their genuine talents and remarkable performances, and thanked everyone who contributed to their preparation and training. He concluded by stressing that Tanta University will continue to support and promote all student activities to ensure the comprehensive development of students’ personalities.
