Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, received Prof. Ahmed Al-Arabi in his office today, following the issuance of the presidential decree appointing him Dean of the Faculty of Arts. The University President extended his sincere congratulations to the new dean, wishing him success in his new role and every success in advancing the educational and research system within the faculty.

   During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Hussein discussed with Prof. Ahmed Al-Arabi the proposed mechanisms of work for the upcoming phase, within the framework of the strategic plan of both the faculty and the university. The University President directed the adoption of an ambitious vision based on enhancing innovation in the humanities sector, stressing the importance of introducing new interdisciplinary programs in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. He also emphasized the need to shift scientific research from purely theoretical frameworks toward applied solutions that address societal issues and real-world challenges, ensuring the activation of the faculty’s developmental role.

   The University President also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Mamdouh Al-Masry, former Dean of the Faculty, praising the dedicated efforts he exerted during his tenure and the tangible achievements accomplished by the faculty under his leadership.
