The Tanta University Council, convened today under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, during its regular session for January 2026, approved the disbursement of performance bonuses as follows:
EGP 3,500 for faculty members,
EGP 2,500 for the assisting academic staff,
EGP 2,500 for all university employees, security personnel, seconded staff, and nursing staff at university hospitals who are currently in service.
The Council also approved the disbursement of a bonus equivalent to 20 days’ wages, capped at EGP 1,500, for non-regular (daily-wage) workers paid on a “pay-per-task” basis.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, affirmed that the University’s human capital—including faculty members, administrators, and employees—represents its true wealth and the primary driving force behind every achievement realized on the ground. He explained that the University Council’s decision to grant this financial bonus to all categories, including both regular and non-regular workers, reflects the University’s commitment to supporting its staff members and their families.
He further stressed that Tanta University spares no effort in providing all forms of support and motivation to its workforce, in recognition of their continuous dedication and valuable contributions to serving the educational, medical, and research systems.
