Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, participated in the regular meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, convened under the chairmanship of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Prof. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council, and the distinguished members of the Council, at the headquarters of Luxor National University.

 “According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Higher Education praised the inclusion of 83 Egyptian educational institutions in the January 2026 edition of the Webometrics ranking, as well as the presence of Egyptian universities across most of the disciplines covered by the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Rankings.

 The Minister also commended the efforts of universities during the end-of-first-semester examinations for the current academic year 2025/2026.

Furthermore, the Minister emphasized the importance of continuing to organize student visits to the Cairo International Book Fair, completing the work of examination offices and promptly announcing students’ results, and swiftly finishing all maintenance work during the mid-year academic break in preparation for the start of the second semester.”
