Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University and Head of the Committee for Selecting Deans of Faculties at the University, announced today the preliminary list of faculty members applying for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry 2026.

   The list of applicants—in alphabetical order—includes: Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Mohi El-Din Attia Alam El-Din, Professor and Acting Head of Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University; Prof. Sherine Abdel-Mawla Ali Moawad, Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, Diagnostic Methods, and Radiology, and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University; Prof. Abeer Mostafa Abdel-Ghani Darag, Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University; Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed El-Shenawy, Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University; Prof. Walid Mohamed Abdel-Magid El-Shahawy, Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University; and Prof. Yasser Mohamed El-Metwally El-Makaky, Professor The Department of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, Diagnostic Methods, and Radiology, and the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University.

   The University President explained that the committee will receive appeals on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and Thursday, April 2, 2026. These appeals will be reviewed, and the final list of candidates will be announced on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Applicants' files will be reviewed, personal interviews conducted, and the final report prepared on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

   Appeals will be accepted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the dates mentioned above.
