In a Surprise Night Tour… President of Tanta University Inspects the Medical Complex and Sabarbay Campus to Enforce Discipline in Rationalizing Electricity Consumption

Prof. Mohamed Hussein:

• Self-monitoring by every citizen is the essence of national responsibility.

• Field supervision and on-site follow-up are continuously carried out in real time to ensure that the culture of rationalization becomes a sustainable reality.

Professor Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, conducted an extensive surprise night inspection tour of the Medical Complex and the Sabarbay Campus in a decisive field move aimed at reinforcing the values of discipline and preserving state resources. The tour sought to assess the actual level of compliance with the implementation of the issued directives concerning the rationalization of electricity consumption. It included inspection rounds across all buildings, facilities, streets, and open spaces within the university campus to ensure that unnecessary lighting was switched off and electrical loads were reduced in facilities not directly related to essential services.

He issued strict and firm instructions to all staff members, officials, and security personnel to rigorously enforce the university’s approved plan in this regard, emphasizing zero tolerance for any manifestations of excessive electricity consumption. He stressed that rationalizing consumption constitutes an integral part of the professional and national duties of every individual within the institution.

During the tour, Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that Tanta University’s engagement in national efforts to rationalize electricity usage is not merely a transient administrative measure, but rather a moral commitment stemming from the university’s profound national and societal responsibility as a leading academic and enlightening institution. He explained that the current challenges imposed by the global energy crisis necessitate unprecedented solidarity, noting that the true cornerstone lies in the “self-monitoring” of every citizen and employee, regardless of their role, as it remains the decisive factor and primary driver for achieving tangible positive outcomes that contribute to the stability of state resources.

He further underscored that the system of oversight and on-site monitoring by the university administration will not cease; rather, it will continue with immediacy and precision to ensure the transformation of the culture of rationalization into a sustainable reality that safeguards national assets.

The tour covered the faculties and facilities of the Medical Complex, including the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Science, and Dentistry, as well as the Technical Institute of Nursing, the Central Library Building, the Conference Center, and the Development Building. It also included the Sabarbay Campus, which encompasses the Faculties of Engineering, Agriculture, Law, Computers and Information, Arts, and Physical Education, in addition to individual and team sports complexes, swimming pools, and several service buildings.
