Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced a series of urgent and decisive measures to address the adverse weather conditions currently affecting the country. He emphasized that the university administration prioritizes the well-being and safety of its students.
The university president explained that students who were unable to attend their midterm exams due to inclement weather will be excused. These exams will be rescheduled for a later date, to be determined by each faculty administration in accordance with its internal regulations and legal framework, and in line with the approved academic calendar. This is to ensure the highest degree of equal opportunity for all students.
Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, confirmed that the education sector is monitoring the situation moment by moment through continuous communication with the vice deans of the colleges, noting that the exams are proceeding normally today in the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Computers and Information, and Commerce. He added that it was decided to postpone the exams of the Faculty of Education specifically due to the large number of apologies received by the college administration as a result of transportation difficulties, while studies continue in the rest of the university faculties as usual according to the announced study schedules, with an emphasis on taking all decisions that guarantee the protection of students and preserve their academic opportunities without any harm.
