• A Cultural League Competition in the fields of poetry, vernacular poetry (zajal), short story, essay, research, and theatrical text.
• A competition in memorizing the Holy Qur’an and the Forty Nawawi Hadiths.
• A Cultural and Informational League Competition for outstanding students in general knowledge.
• A competition for creative and innovative wall magazines.
• An intellectual cultural competition in research.
• A general Islamic competition in research.
• Organizing courses in human development, English language, and computer skills, in cooperation with organizing bodies inside and outside the university.
• Organizing religious symposiums and symposiums on Egyptian civilizational heritage (historical and military).
• Participation in apical competitions organized by other universities, in accordance with the regulatory bylaws set by each university.


- Artistic Activities:

• Organization of competitions in the fields of music, choral performance, and singing.
• Establishment of a center for training students in music, singing, religious chanting, theatrical workshops, and theatrical festivals.
• Participation in national-level events at the level of Egyptian universities, such as the Ebdaa Competition, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
• Organization of the Winter Theatrical Forum for university students, as well as the Summer Theatrical Forum to select a university theatrical troupe of students.

Sports Activity

  • Sports Activity Department at Student Welfare Administration takes care of talented students in individual and team sports. A distinguished elite of specialized trainers.
  • Organizing the internal University tournament, "Individual sports, team sports and Futsal "
  • Participating in apical competitions "External Tournament" at the level of Egyptian Universities
  • Organizing gymnastics competitions at the level of Egyptian Universities
  • Organizing the competition of road race at the level of Egyptian Universities

  • An Olympic football pitch with international measurements and with a capacity of 25000 spectators.
  • A track consists of six lanes for athletes.
  • A hole for long jump
  • A throwing circle for the shot put and another one for discus throw
  • Four sandy volleyball courts
  • A basketball court
  • Two tennis courts

The Social Role of Youth Welfare

• The Youth Welfare Administration at Tanta University helps students from low-income families to continue their university education through to graduation by providing direct financial aid, as well as indirect support such as exemption from prescribed tuition fees, reduction of such fees, or payment by installments. This is carried out after conducting a social assessment to determine students’ financial conditions and to identify the appropriate forms of assistance in accordance with each case.

• The Youth Welfare Administration at Tanta University applies a number of programs and initiatives to support students from low-income families, including assistance provided through the Social Solidarity Fund, exemption from or reduction of tuition fees, and the organization of exhibitions to provide clothing and study supplies to students at low prices.

Rover and Public Service Activities:

  • • Organization of guiding scout festivals for University Rovers (Male and Female), including competitions in several fields: sports, cultural, religious, artistic, scouting, spirit and appearance, and the Public Service Shield.
  • • Organization of camps in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the cities of Luxor, Aswan, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Hurghada.
  • • Participation in apical and guiding competitions at the level of Egyptian universities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Youth Hostels Association.
  • • Organization of the Public Service Camp for University Rovers (Male and Female), through which the following activities are carried out:
  • o Organization of medical convoys or field visits conducted by the rovers.
  • o Tree planting activities.
  • o Rehabilitation and restructuring of areas within the university campus that require development.
  • o Organization of outreach campaigns in various fields and implementation of public service programs serving the environment and the community.
  • • Organization of Friendship Days, first aid courses, and training courses in scouting skills for male and female rovers.
  • • Implementation of camp programs at the Leadership Preparation Institute in Helwan.
  • • Participation in environmental service camps and camps organized by the Ministry of Youth.

Social Activities and Trips:

  • • Establishment of a permanent training center for chess for male and female university students.
  • • Organization of the University Chess Championship at the level of the university’s faculties.
  • • Organization of social research competitions at the university level.
  • • Organization of the Ideal Mother Competition at the university level.
  • • Organization of one-day trips to Alexandria, Dream Park, and Cairo.
  • • Organization of trips to the cities of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
  • • Organization of a number of social and medical convoys targeting several villages within the governorate.
  • • Organization of the Ideal Student Competition (Male and Female) at the university level, as well as blood donation campaigns and early detection campaigns for Hepatitis C across the university’s faculties.
  • • Implementation of many student visits to the Police Academy to promote coexistence and interaction with police academy students.
  • • Participation in organizing the medical examination process for new students applying to the university at the beginning of each academic year.
  • • Provision of financial assistance from the Social Solidarity Fund to university students who are unable to pay the tuition fees.

Student Union Activities:

  • • The Tanta University Student Union advocates for students’ interests before the University Administration and acts as a channel to convey all opinions and viewpoints, as well as to support the continuous development of welfare and support services provided by the administration to university students.
  • • The Tanta University Student Union is affiliated with the Egyptian Universities’ Student Union.
  • • Oversight of student union elections at the university.
  • • Organization of Leadership Preparation courses for student union members.
  • • Organization of the closing ceremony for student activities and the inauguration of the University Student Union Council.
  • • Supervision of student union councils and holding their meetings.
  • • Organization of training courses in human development and English language education for university students, as well as symposiums on development and political awareness, delivered by specialists from the university’s faculty members.

Student Groups Activities:

  • • The Student Groups Department supervises the formation of student groups, supports their activities in all fields, and enhances coordination among them.
  • • Organization of a photography competition at the level of Egyptian universities.
  • • Organization of many one-day trips to the cities of Cairo and Alexandria, including visits to historical sites and monuments.
  • • Organization of the annual University Student Groups Festival, which includes several competitions: cultural, sports, artistic, social, and blood donation campaigns.
  • • Organization of seminars and military visits during historical celebrations, such as the glorious October Victory anniversary.
  • • Participation in apical competitions organized by other Egyptian universities.
