Unique Achievements

• 900900 Hospital
  It is the first international smart university hospital in Delta in the city of El-Mahalla El-Kobra. It was built by self-help to foster the principle of social participation and belonging. There were many donations for establishing this huge medical edifice.
• Robotics and Smart Simulation Unit
  Based on Egypt’s 2030 strategy that focuses on enhancement of investment, the first unit of excellence in the field of artificial intelligence and automatic control was established at Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University. The unit uses technology of artificial intelligence and automatic control to improve education and research in many engineering and medical fields. Robotics and Smart Simulation Unit is a technological leap in the field of artificial intelligence and digital transformation at the university.
• Talented Students’ Welfare Center
  Caring about the talented has become one of the main requirements of the era and the most significant factor for progress and development. Thereupon, Tanta University exerts great efforts to support talented students so that we can have youth cadres able to contribute innovatively to sustainable development in Egypt. Welfare programs of talented students have been developed at the university coping with Egypt’s vision 2030 to improve the educational conditions that enhance innovation.
• Distance Learning Management System (DLMS Unit)
  Tanta University seeks to keep pace with the latest scientific methods for development of education and to cope with the great technological progress. Moreover, COVID-19 needed innovative solutions to face those challenges. Thereupon, DLMS Unit was established to play a pivotal role in enhancement of education through monitoring the challenges and difficulties that e-learning encounters and offering suitable solutions to support decision making.
• The New Surgical Hospital
  It includes more than 700 beds, 68 intensive care rooms and 18 operating theatres with the latest modular operating rooms and exhaust air units, in addition to patients’ rooms, outpatient clinics, 21 classrooms, lecture halls, and simulation halls. Moreover, the hospital includes departments of general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, orthopedic surgery, vertebral surgery, ENT surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, cardiac and chest surgery, neurosurgery; anesthesia, intensive care and pain treatment; cerebral catheterization, MR, CT scan, and an analysis lab.
• 75375 Children’s Cancer Hospital
  It is the first public hospital specialized in treatment of children’s cancer in Delta region. The university seeks to achieve development and advancement in treatment and prevention of cancer through scientific research, improved education and quality health care offered for free to relieve the burden that weigh heavily on children suffering from cancer and their families.

Tanta University President Grants the Shield of the Golden Jubilee to Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and to SUC Secretary General

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, granted the Shield of Tanta University’s Golden Jubilee to Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashor, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and to Prof. Mohamed Mustafa Latif, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) on the occasion of the closing ceremony of Tanta University’s golden jubilee in appreciation of the constant support they give to the university.

Tanta University Gains 6 Awards of the Top Ten Egypt Government Excellence Awards

Tanta University President, “These advanced ranks were reached due to MBO in planning and implementation of the university’s strategic plan.” Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, announced that the university gained 6 awards of the top ten Egypt Government Awards in the third competition held in 2022. The university gained the second rank award of Excellent Websites in Offering Governmental Services at the level of all governmental institutions for the second year in a row. In addition, the university gained the second rank award of Excellent Leaders in the category of General Manager. This award was gained by the General Manager of University President’s Office.

علن الدكتور محمود زكى، رئيس جامعة طنطا عن إنشاء معمل أبحاث بكلية الهندسة لتخزين الطاقة بالتعاون مع هيئة تمويل العلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار (STDF) بتمويل قدره 7 مليون جنيه.
وأكد رئيس جامعة طنطا، أن المعمل يعد الأول من نوعه فى مصر ، والذي يضم فريق بحثى من أساتذة كلية الهندسة جامعة طنطا من اقسام الفيزيقا والرياضيات الهندسية ، هندسة القوى الميكانيكية وكذلك الهندسة الكهربية.

He is an Assistant Professor at Electrical Power and Machines Engineering Department at Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University. He gained the State Incentive Award in Engineering in 2018.

PROF. MOHAMMED LABIB RAGHIB SALEM

He is a Professor at Zoology Department at Faculty of Science, Tanta University. He gained the State Appreciation Award in Basic Sciences in 2018. President Abdel Fattah Al- Sisi granted him The Medal of Science and Arts of the First Class

PROF. ABDEL NABI AL BAYOUMI AL METWALLY QABIL

He is a Professor at Mechanical Power Engineering Department at Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University. He gained Scientific Research Excellence Award at the level of the Arab world in 2018.
