We aim to transform promising ideas and projects into viable products and solutions for manufacturing and marketing

We invite researchers and faculty members to submit their ideas and projects to department heads and college deans

    Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced the launch of an integrated institutional path to discover, evaluate and support applied projects, innovations, prototypes and applicable research outputs in the university's various faculties, which will contribute to transforming them into products and solutions with economic, industrial and societal impact.

    The University President emphasized that the track aims to build a renewed institutional portfolio of projects, innovations, and applied technologies, assess their readiness levels, identify their development needs, and link promising projects to industry, beneficiary entities, and opportunities for financing, incubation, and transfer and marketing of technology.

    He added that the university is working to build an integrated system that begins with discovering the idea or research output, through evaluation, development and experimentation, all the way to actual application, stressing that this approach comes in line with the efforts of the state, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities to support innovation, localize technology and link scientific research with the needs of industry and society.

    The track is implemented through the Main Sustainability Center – Applied Industrial Projects Unit at Tanta University, according to an institutional mechanism that includes registering, classifying and evaluating projects, determining levels of technological, manufacturing and commercial readiness, and selecting appropriate support tracks for each project.

    Support includes prototyping, intellectual property protection, technical evaluation, research into financing opportunities, pilot application, networking with companies and the industrial sector, incubating and supporting startups, and transferring and marketing technology.

    In this context, Tanta University invites researchers, postgraduate students, faculty members, and support staff from the university's various faculties to submit their applied and innovative ideas and projects, patents, prototypes, products and technologies, digital programs and solutions, or applicable research results to the heads of scientific departments and deans of faculties.

    The university emphasized that participation is not limited to completed projects or products, but also includes promising research ideas and outputs that require development and support, contributing to early discovery of their potential and their gradual transfer from research and innovation to application and industry
