Prof. Elsayed El-Agouz: The achievement reflects the excellence of the student activities system at Tanta University

    Tanta University achieved third place among the universities participating in the third sports festival for students with disabilities at Benha University, which was held during the period from August 31 to September 2, 2026, after the university students won 11 various medals, including 4 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze.

    The participation came under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, and the leadership of Prof. Al-Sayed Al-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, within the framework of the university's strategy to support and empower students with disabilities and enhance their participation in various sports and student activities.

    Prof. Mohammed Hussein emphasized that the outstanding results achieved by the students reflect their willpower and ability to compete and excel. He noted that the university places great emphasis on empowering students with disabilities and providing them with a supportive and stimulating university environment. He congratulated the winning students and those sponsoring the delegation.

    For his part, Prof. Al-Sayed Abdel-Azim Al-Ajouz explained that the achievement reflects the development of the university's student activities system and its keenness to discover the talents of students with disabilities, hone their abilities, and provide them with opportunities to participate, compete, and excel.

    The gold medals were secured by Yasmin Hossam El-Din in the shot put, Aya Abdel Hamid Abdel Maqsoud and Israa Bassiouny Mohamed in weightlifting, and Mina Atef Hanna in table tennis.

    The silver medals were won by Nancy Saeed Abdel Maqsoud in the shot put, Alia Ibrahim Ahmed in the 100-meter race, and Sherif Abdel Aziz Ali and Rahma Nabil Issa in weightlifting.

    Meanwhile, Yasmin Hossam El-Din claimed a bronze medal in the 100-meter race, Mohamed Hossam Mostafa won a bronze medal in weightlifting, and Shahd Rady Gomaa secured a bronze medal in table tennis.

    The participation took place under the general supervision of Prof. Magdy Wakouk, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Prof. Mohamed Al-Qaseer, Director General of the General Administration of Student Welfare, and accompanied by Mohamed Al-Sawaf, Director of the Center for People with Disabilities, Reda Diab, Essam Al-Suwaidi, and Al-Shaima Hantira.
