Minister of Higher Education Honors Tanta University for Its Inclusion in the QS World University Rankings for the Fourth Consecutive Year

The honor is a culmination of the university's efforts to improve the quality of education, scientific research, and support for researchers.

Tanta University participated in the celebration honoring the universities included in the QS World University Rankings, organized by the Future University in Cairo. Tanta University appeared for the fourth consecutive year among the world's top universities in the QS British global ranking. The event was attended by Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ashwin Fernandez, CEO of QS for Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, Mr. Rami Awad, Regional Director of QS, and the presidents of the fifteen Egyptian universities included in the ranking, along with several university presidents. Tanta University maintained its global ranking, placing in the 1201-1400 range globally in the 2025 edition of the QS rankings. The university also kept its position in the same category locally, among the top 15 Egyptian universities listed in the 21st edition of the QS World University Rankings for 2025.

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, President of Tanta University, stated that the university's honor today is a recognition of its sustained leadership position among the world's top universities as ranked by one of the most important international ranking institutions, QS, for the fourth year in a row. He praised the efforts of the university teams in elevating the global ranking, noting that this reflects the university's success in implementing the political leadership's directives to improve the quality of education, enhance the services provided in education and scientific research, support researchers, serve the community, and strengthen relations with employers.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein explained that the university, through its strategic plan, has improved its ranking in various global classifications. It has achieved several leaps in international rankings recently, enhancing its competitive capabilities among universities through numerous efforts to support and develop the educational and research system, support researchers, and encourage international publication in high-impact journals.
