As Part of “Youth and Sports Development” Events Launched by the Administrative Control Authority in Cooperation with Tanta University, the 2nd Stage of the Project Starts in Samannoud District with Participation of Specialized Teams

The 2nd stage of “Youth and Sports Development” project started in Samannoud district in the context of the cooperation protocol with the Administrative Control Authority. The events are supervised by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University; Prof. Mahmoud Selim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of University Hospitals’ Board; Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Alaa Halwish, General Coordinator of the Project; Prof. Eman Hassan, Chairperson of the Central Administration of Student Activities at Ministry of Education; Engr. Nasser Hassan, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education; Mr. Yousri Al-Deep, Undersecretary of Ministry of Youth and Sports, General Manager of Samannoud Directorate and General Manager of Services at the Education Directorate.

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed the university’s commitment to serving the surrounding community through activities and events that significantly contribute to improvement of life quality and human development. These activities also play a pivotal role in community development. In addition, he commended the efforts exerted by the participating teams in offering services in the framework of the cooperation protocol that aim to carry out the project of “Youth and Sports Development” in governorates of the republic. The protocol also aims to encourage engagement in sports and to achieve sustainability through developmental programs for future generations after the end of the school day in a sound and safe sports environment.

   Furthermore, Prof. Mahmoud Selim declared that the teams of the project conducted medical examination for 946 students in schools of Al-Salam, Al-Nassr, Bahethat Al-Bedaya, Judge Hussein, and Gamal Al-Din in Samannoud. Prof. Selim commended the efforts of doctors who conducted the medical examinations pointing out that this helps to identify talented students and to promote sports participation.
