During the Periodic Meeting of December Held by Tanta University Council, Reports Are Reviewed about the Institutional Achievements of the University in Education, Scientific Research, Community Service, and Offering Medical Services from August to December 2024


• Remarkable participation in the presidential initiative “Bedaya” (Beginning), offering services to over 60,000 citizens, and creating job and training opportunities in cooperation with various institutions and companies.
• A total of 18 program and institutional accreditation certificates at faculties of the university granted by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE)
• Unprecedented breakthrough in world rankings and international collaboration with prestigious institutions.
• Offering medical care services to more than 2.3 million citizens in Delta region.
   Tanta University Council held its periodic meeting of December under chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, in the attendance of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Counselor Khairy Emara, Legal Advisor to the University, the deans of the faculties, and the University Secretary-General.
   At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Hussein congratulated the council members on the new year and acknowledged the efforts of faculty deans in preparing for the first term exams.
   Prof. Hussein presented a report on the university's achievements from August to December 2024, highlighting its contributions to “A New Beginning for Human Development”, the initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for human development, and the advancement in world international rankings, scientific publications, student activities, construction projects, and academic programs.
   Additionally, Prof. Mahmoud Selim discussed the university's support for "Bedaya" (beginning) initiative, noting that services were provided to 60,330 citizens, along with 9,674 job and training opportunities created through partnerships with ministries and 53 industrial companies. Moreover, he thanked all deans of university’s faculties, the service centers and the participant teams.
   Furthermore, Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim highlighted the achievements of Tanta University Hospitals, particularly in pediatric cancer treatment, reporting medical services provided to 2,423,318 citizens from January 2024 to year-end, reflecting a 40% increase in beneficiaries compared to the previous year. He thanked the academic staff members, the doctors, the nursing the staff and the employees of Faculty of Medicine and University Hospitals.
