Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, participated today in the Egyptian-British Universities Forum, held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at the New Administrative Capital. The forum is organized by the Supreme Council of Universities in collaboration with the British Council, the British Egyptian Chamber of Commerce, and the British Embassy in Egypt. It aims to enhance transnational education (TNE) in Egypt and explore available opportunities for collaboration with British universities and institutions.
The event was attended by Prof. Hossam Osman, Deputy Minister for Innovation and Scientific Research, Prof. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Mr. Mark Howard, Director of the British Council, representatives from seven leading and prestigious British universities, as well as representatives from various Egyptian universities.
Tanta University's delegation included Prof. Nada El-Shenawy, Director of the University’s Electronic Portal Unit, and Prof. Reham Shawky, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Commerce, Tanta University.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein stated that the forum aims to sign cooperation agreements in higher education and scientific research for undergraduate and postgraduate students with British universities and institutions. He emphasized that this aligns with the university’s strategic plan to foster collaboration with prestigious international universities, enhance academic and research cooperation between educational institutions, exchange expertise and knowledge, develop educational programs, and elevate the university’s competitive standing. This effort supports the state’s sustainable development plan, Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the national strategy for higher education and scientific research.
