Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced the issuance of a presidential decree appointing Prof. Ahmed Mohamed El-Husseini Helal as Dean of the Faculty of Education at Tanta University.

Prof. Ahmed Helal obtained his Bachelor’s degree in History from Tanta University with a "Very Good" grade in 1992. He later earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health from Tanta University in 1998, followed by a Ph.D. in Mental Health from the same university in 2002.

Throughout his academic career, Prof. Helal progressed through various scientific positions, starting as a teaching assistant in 1993, then a lecturer in 2002, an associate professor in 2012, and achieving the rank of professor in 2017. He also served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Postgraduate Studies from September 2019 to February 2021. Additionally, he was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Education from December 2021 to December 2024 and has been serving as Acting Dean since December 2024.
