Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, conducted an extensive inspection tour of the university hospitals to ensure their full readiness and final preparations for receiving patients and emergency cases during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. He was accompanied by Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Prof. Hassan El-Tatawy, Executive Director of University Hospitals. The tour included the emergency, reception, and intensive care units to confirm the smooth operation of services and the availability of all necessary medical supplies.
During the tour, Prof. Hussein emphasized that the university has raised the level of preparedness in all its hospitals. He stressed the importance of having medical staff, including doctors, nurses, and administrators, present according to the published shift schedules. He added that their primary role is to provide comprehensive and uninterrupted healthcare to citizens. He directed that all obstacles facing patients be removed and that a rapid response to critical cases be ensured during the holiday period, while providing all necessary logistical support to the on-call staff.
For his part, Prof. Mohammed Hantira explained that the hospital administration, in coordination with the heads of clinical departments, has developed a proactive plan to ensure the efficient deployment of medical staff to cover all specialties around the clock. He clarified that duty rosters have been reviewed to guarantee the presence of consultants and specialists in all vital sectors, thus maintaining the highest standards of medical quality in handling any patient emergencies during the Eid holidays.
In a related context, Prof. Hassan Al-Tatawy reviewed the operational status of vital hospital facilities, emphasizing the availability of sufficient strategic reserves of medications, medical supplies, and blood types. He confirmed that the central operations room at the hospitals will be in continuous session to monitor periodic reports and workflow in real time. He also confirmed the operational efficiency of emergency systems, medical gases, and elevators to ensure a safe and stable working environment for both medical staff and patients.
