Students of Tanta University achieved a remarkable accomplishment by securing leading positions in a variety of scientific, media, artistic, and cultural fields during the 14th season of the “Ibdaa” Festival for University Youth, held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The university’s distinguished achievements in the festival included the field of Religious Hymns, where student Patsy Hany Girgis won first place and ranked at the top among Egyptian universities. In the field of Folk Arts (Specialized Group Performance), the Tanta University Folk Arts Team earned first place with distinction among Egyptian universities. Captain Omar Mahmoud Omar El-Badry received the award for “Best Coach” nationwide, while student Andrew Nabil Shafik won the “Best Performer” award among Egyptian universities. Student Mohamed Nabil Abdel Fattah also received the Special Jury Award for “Best Performer.”
In the field of Specialized Reporting, student Rinaa Gamal Abdullah secured second place among Egyptian universities. Furthermore, in the category of Scientific Innovations — specifically Engineering Innovations, Energy, and Electric Vehicles — the university achieved second place among Egyptian universities and institutes. The university was represented by a team of innovative students: Hesham Mohamed Mohamed Mostafa, Taha Rabie Taha Fayed, and Mohamed Ahmed Fouad Ahmed Agina.
Professor Mohamed Hussein expressed his immense pride and appreciation for this honorable achievement accomplished by the university’s students, emphasizing that such excellence reflects the vision of the Egyptian state and its political leadership in supporting talented and innovative youth and in building the Egyptian individual as one of the fundamental pillars of the New Republic. He noted that Tanta University’s leadership in diverse competitions combining scientific and engineering innovation, media excellence, and artistic and cultural creativity demonstrates the ability of its students to compete strongly at both local and international levels. He further affirmed that the university spares no effort in providing comprehensive support to its students to help them develop their skills and meet regional and international standards of excellence.
For his part, Professor El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, extended his congratulations and appreciation to all the winning students, as well as the technical and administrative teams supervising them. He praised the outstanding level and exceptional efforts demonstrated by the university delegation during the festival activities. He stressed that the Education and Student Affairs Sector places among its top priorities the provision of a rich and integrated academic environment that combines academic achievement with character development through student activities. He added that this major accomplishment at the 14th “Ibdaa” Festival is the result of continuous planning and dedicated support for young talents in engineering, technology, arts, and media. He also extended his gratitude to Professor Magdy Wakouk, General Coordinator of Student Activities, Professor Mohamed El-Quseir, Director General of Student Welfare Administration, and all staff members for their sincere efforts.
