Today, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, held an extensive meeting with a group of journalists and media professionals in Gharbia Governorate, in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Mamdouh Al-Masry, Political Communication Advisor at the University, Prof. Ahmed Abu Al-Saadat, Director of the Media Center, Prof. Mohamed Al-Shishtawi, Director of the University Center for International Classification, and Prof. Walid Al-Ashry, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Specific Education.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for his tireless efforts to build the new republic through development systems and major national projects, stressing that the climate created by the June 30 Revolution contributed to consolidating stability and providing a wider space for dialogue and expression, which supports the development and construction process in various state institutions. Prof. Mohamed Hussein also welcomed the attendees, expressing his appreciation for the national role played by journalists and media professionals in conveying facts and educating public opinion, stressing Tanta University's keenness to continue communication and cooperation with various media outlets as an essential partner in supporting the university's efforts and highlighting its achievements.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein stressed that the media represents a fundamental pillar for the success of institutions, as it has an influential role in conveying correct information, enhancing community awareness, and building bridges of trust between institutions and citizens. He praised the continuous and constructive cooperation between Tanta University and journalists and media professionals in Gharbia Governorate, pointing out that the university administration is keen to adopt a policy of openness and transparency, and to listen to various opinions and proposals In a way that contributes to developing performance and achieving the university's mission in the fields of education, scientific research and community service, stressing that the internationalization policies adopted by the university require the presence of a strong media backer, expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation to journalists and media professionals for their continued support for Tanta University, stressing the continuation of cooperation in a way that achieves the public interest and enhances the university's role in serving the community.
For his part, Prof. Mahmoud Selim added that the university plays a pivotal role in serving the community and achieving sustainable development, through implementing community initiatives, organizing development and medical convoys, and providing services and consultations that meet the needs of citizens, adding that the university is preparing to launch the first investment company affiliated with the university to achieve knowledge investment and develop self-resources, stressing that Tanta University is keen to strengthen its partnership with various community institutions, based on its social responsibility In line with the Egyptian state's vision for achieving comprehensive development. He noted that the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector continues to implement numerous programs and activities that contribute to improving the quality of life and supporting development efforts in Gharbia Governorate and neighboring governorates.
Prof. Mamdouh El Masry, Political Advisor to Tanta University, stressed the university's constant keenness to enhance effective communication with various national institutions, unions, and civil society organizations, based on its belief in the importance of community partnership in supporting the development process and achieving the university's goals. He added that Tanta University adopts an approach based on openness and cooperation with all state institutions, which contributes to exchanging experiences, enhancing the university's community role, and supporting initiatives that serve citizens. He stressed that continuous communication with various parties represents one of the basic pillars for achieving the university's vision and mission.
During the meeting, Prof. Ahmed Abu Al-Saadat gave a presentation in which he reviewed the most prominent achievements of the university during the period from August 2024 to June 2026, which reflected the extent of development witnessed by the university at various academic, research, service, and developmental levels. The presentation addressed the most prominent axes of achievement, which included support for presidential initiatives, comprehensive development convoys, international classifications and classified scientific publishing, support for students with disabilities, programmatic and institutional accreditations, development of infrastructure and capacity, education and student affairs, postgraduate studies and research, accredited centers and the government complaints system, university hospitals, and Tanta National University, in addition to strategic planning, internationalization, and knowledge investment.
