Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, attended the graduation ceremony of the 54th class of the Faculty of Science. The ceremony was attended by His Grace Anba Paula, Bishop of Tanta and its Dependencies; Prof. Dr. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Abdel-Dayem, former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Dr. Amgad Salem, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Atef Nower, Head of the Syndicate of Scientific Professions in Gharbia Governorate; former deans of the Faculty; members of the teaching staff; as well as the graduates and their parents.
During his speech, the university president emphasized that the Faculty of Science at Tanta University is one of the university’s prestigious faculties, whose history is closely intertwined with that of the university. Over the decades, the faculty has contributed significantly to advancing the university’s scientific and research mission and to educating generations of scientists, researchers, and qualified professionals across various scientific disciplines.
He noted that the faculty’s mission extends beyond providing education in the basic sciences. It also plays a pivotal role in preparing qualified professionals capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and supporting the industrial, production, scientific research, and technology sectors through its diverse academic programs, distinguished scientific staff, advanced laboratories, and specialized academic disciplines.
He congratulated the graduates of the 54th batch of the College of Science and their families, stressing that graduation represents a new beginning in the learning and work process, and calling on graduates to continue developing their skills and linking their scientific knowledge to the needs of reality. He also appreciated the efforts of the college's faculty members and employees in preparing graduates. He stressed that the distinguished scholars, researchers, leaders and competencies provided by the college throughout its history represent an important asset to Tanta University, and that its graduates will continue their role in serving the nation and supporting the process of development and innovation.
For his part, Prof. Al-Sayed Al-Ajouz expressed his happiness at sharing this moment with the students and their families, stressing that Graduation Day embodies the fruits of years of learning, hard work, and diligence, and represents a new beginning in the lives of the graduates rather than the end of the journey. He congratulated the students and their families, pointing out that the graduates of the College of Science carry with them, alongside their scientific knowledge, the values of responsibility, thinking, analysis, and research. He called on them to continue learning, develop themselves, and keep pace with scientific and technological changes, and to make their knowledge a means of achieving success and making a positive impact on society, while always being a source of pride for their families, their college, Tanta University, and their country, Egypt.
For her part, Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din expressed her happiness to participate in celebrating the graduation of her students, stressing that this day embodies the fruits of many years of hard work, diligence and perseverance, and represents an important milestone in their scientific and humanitarian journey. She congratulated the graduates and their families, noting that the years of study were not just a journey to obtain knowledge, but rather an integrated journey during which the students acquired, in addition to knowledge, the values of responsibility, discipline, work and diligence. She called on the students to always live up to the name of the Faculty of Science and Tanta University, and to continue the path of success and excellence.
