An Inspection Tour by Prof. Mohamed Hussein at New Constructions, Maintenance, and Development Projects at Sibirbay Campus


Prof. Mohamed Hussein, “Sustainable infrastructure development and capacity maximization are main pivots in Tanta University's strategy.”
    Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, conducted an inspection tour at Sibirbay campus. During the tour, he reviewed the progress of new constructions, maintenance, and development projects at University Hostels. He inspected the services offered to students, the Center for Students with Disabilities at Faculty of Arts, the Center for Electronic Tests, the Graywater Recycling Station at Faculty of Engineering, and the new University Administration building project. He was accompanied by Prof. Mamdouh Al-Masry, Dean of Faculty of Arts and University Advisor for Political Communication; Prof. Ahmed Nassr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering; vice deans of the faculties; Prof. Mohamed El-Nemr, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Electronic and Cognitive Services; Prof. Ramadan Maan, General Supervisor of University Hostels; Prof. Hosny Dweir, Manager of the Center for Engineering Consultations; Prof. Mohamed Abu Hilal, Deputy Manager of the Center for Engineering Consultations; and Engr. Mohamed Sobhy, Manager of the University's Engineering Administration.
    During the tour, Prof. Mohamed Hussein followed up the progress of the new building projects and the expansion of hostels’ capacity. He also listened to feedback from resident students regarding the quality of accommodation and services provided, including housing, meals, and social care. He highlighted the university's commitment to offering full support to students, ensuring the highest quality of services, and providing them with a comfortable living environment.
   Moreover, Prof. Mohamed Hussein inspected the construction work at the Center for Electronic Tests, which is a significant step in the university’s transition to digital education by enhancing its IT infrastructure and implementing an electronic testing system for all university students.
   In addition, he reviewed the equipping of the Center for Students with Disabilities, which the university is developing in collaboration with AMIDEAST and with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to be inaugurated in November. The center aims to provide comprehensive services for students with disabilities, including student activities, training programs, and academic, psychological, and social consultations.
   Prof. Mohamed Hussein also inspected the progress of the Graywater Recycling Project at Faculty of Engineering, that aim to achieve sustainability of natural resources by recycling wastewater for irrigation and agriculture. He affirmed that University Council has approved the establishment of 12 such stations across the university's campuses.
   Furthermore, he inspected the construction progress of the new University Administration building, reviewed the project timeline, and ensured that the completed work aligns with the plan drawn up to finish the project in two years’ time.
