Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, announced a significant achievement for the university in the QS Sustainability Rankings 2025. Tanta University appeared in this ranking for the second consecutive year, achieving the 792nd position globally among 1,744 universities, advancing by 129 ranks compared to last year. At the continental level, the university was ranked 19th among 70 African universities, advancing by three ranks compared to the previous year. Nationally, Tanta University was ranked 8th among 26 Egyptian universities, also climbing three ranks compared to last year.
The Acting President congratulated all university personnel on this remarkable accomplishment, which adds to the university's series of achievements in world rankings. He affirmed that this progress proves the university's academic and research excellence and its commitment to sustainability standards, including governance and resource management, sustainability-related education and research, communication and transparency, and the university's impact on both local and international communities.
Moreover, Prof. Mohamed Hussein highlighted the university's remarkable progress in specific indicators. It was ranked 626th in governance, advancing by 246 ranks, and 707th in environmental impact, while maintaining its position in the +1001 range for social impact.
