Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, met Prof. Mikhail YU. Bronko, Vice President of Sechenov University in Russia, to explore avenues of cooperation in the areas of faculty exchange and short-term training programs for students. In addition, Prof. Hussein discussed opportunities of collaboration with Prof. Ali bin Saud Al-Bimany, President of the National University of Science and Technology in Oman, as for receiving medical students from Oman to complete their internship period at Tanta University.
Prof. Hussein affirmed the university's commitment, as part of its strategic plan, to fostering collaboration with Arab and international universities. He highlighted this as a key pivot for enhancing scientific research, building a robust academic community, and achieving the principles of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research. This is accomplished through internationalization and providing opportunities for the exchange of academic, scientific, and research expertise to improve the quality of education and research.
Moreover, he also indicated that Tanta University possesses the material and human resources necessary to implement collaborative programs with its counterparts in Arab and foreign countries. In addition, Prof. Hussein commended the efforts of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting Egyptian universities in expanding international cooperation initiatives.
This meeting took place as part of Prof. Hussein's participation in the 41st Conference of the Arab Organization for Admission and Registration Officers in Arab Universities, held under the topic "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Admission and Registration Processes." The conference, hosted in Oman, was attended by H.E. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al-Mahrouqi, Oman’s Minister of Higher Education, along with numerous university presidents and vice presidents from Arab and foreign universities.
