Prof. Mohamed Hussein explained that the program aims to enhance the readiness of the university’s faculties to participate in the upcoming cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, as part of the third round of the internal awards, in preparation for the university’s participation in the fifth national edition of the award. Thirty trainees from various faculties are participating in the program, which provides comprehensive training on the pillars and criteria of the institutional excellence model, as well as practical tools for writing nomination applications and evaluation mechanisms, thereby enhancing participants’ ability to implement excellence standards within their academic institutions.

He emphasized that this training program reflects Tanta University’s commitment to achieving institutional government excellence and preparing its teams to compete strongly in the Egypt Government Excellence Award. He expressed hope that the training would strengthen the culture of excellence and raise institutional performance across all sectors of the university. He affirmed the university’s continuous efforts to promote a culture of excellence as a strategic step in alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030, which aims to build an efficient and effective administrative apparatus. He noted that the university’s efforts to improve institutional performance go beyond preparing faculties for the Excellence Award and are part of a broader plan to promote excellence and innovation throughout the university.

For his part, Prof. Mahmoud Selim stated that the program is a fundamental step in empowering the university’s academic and administrative staff to understand and implement institutional excellence standards. Through training 30 excellence ambassadors from different faculties, the university ensures the presence of experts capable of supporting their faculties on the path to excellence and transferring knowledge and expertise to improve performance. This directly supports the university’s plan to deliver high-quality academic and administrative services that reflect Tanta University’s standing and serve as a model for outstanding government performance.

Prof. Hatem Amin added that the university is always keen to participate in the Egypt Government Excellence Award, as it represents a qualitative leap in the performance of government institutions. He stressed that the award is not merely a competition but a comprehensive system for evaluating and improving performance. He further noted that this training program for "Excellence Ambassadors" enhances the university’s ability to apply the highest quality standards across all work phases and reinforces the culture of administrative and academic excellence, directly contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
