In a Prompt Response to the Resident Doctors' Crisis at University Hospitals: President of Tanta University Meets with a Delegation of Female Doctors to Hear Their Complaints and Demands

In a swift and proactive response, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, held a meeting today with a delegation of resident doctors who had submitted their resignations from the university hospitals. The meeting aimed to listen to their concerns and the reasons that led them to take such a step.


The meeting was attended by Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hassan El-Tatawy, Executive Director of University Hospitals, and Counselor Khairy Emara, the University's Legal Advisor.


During the discussion, Prof. Mohamed Hussein stressed that Tanta University is deeply committed to preserving and supporting its distinguished graduates. He stated that he had immediately instructed the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine to convene a meeting with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and to prepare a detailed report as soon as the news of the resignations circulated across news and social media platforms.


He further assured the doctors that the university will not hesitate to implement any corrective actions necessary to ensure a suitable working environment that allows them to thrive both professionally and academically. He added that these corrective measures have already been set in motion starting today and that the doctors will notice positive changes in the near future.


Prof. Hussein called on the doctors to reconsider their resignations for the sake of their professional and academic futures.


He also noted that he has issued a directive to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine to review the working conditions of all resident doctors and staff at the university hospitals and to remove any obstacles they may face.
