Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President and Acting President of Tanta National University, took part in the joint meeting of the Councils of Private and National Universities. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and attended by Prof. Abdel Wahab Mohamed Ezzat, Secretary of the Council of Private Universities, Prof. Maher Abdel Fattah Mosbah, Secretary of the Council of National Universities, along with a number of presidents of private and national universities.

During the joint meeting, the minimum admission thresholds for applying to private and national universities were announced. This includes students holding general secondary certificates, Al-Azhar certificates, as well as Arab and equivalent certificates.
